Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 October 2026 (version 2026-10-17.3).
[Business legal name], [Business address], runs meeem and is responsible for your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Sign-in sessions: for each device you sign in on, its IP address and browser type, so you can see and sign out your devices in Settings.
- Your generations: the prompts you submit, the text generated, and usage details such as the model, token counts and credits charged.
- Saved prompts: templates and field values you choose to save for reuse.
- Payments: which credit pack you bought, the amount and the payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Free credits: when we give a new account free credits, a one-way code made from the IP address you signed up from (not the address itself), so free credits can be limited per network.
- Agreement records: which version of our terms you accepted, and when.
- Server logs: IP addresses, pages requested and errors, used to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for: your account, generating text, credits and payments (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep meeem secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (our legitimate interests).
- To keep payment and accounting records (legal obligations).
- To send emails you need, such as confirming your address or resetting your password. We don't send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic, which provides the AI models: your prompts are sent to it to generate text. Under Anthropic's commercial terms it does not use this data to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Stripe, which processes payments, under Stripe's privacy policy.
- [email provider], which delivers our emails.
- [hosting provider], which hosts our servers.
We don't sell your data and don't use advertising or analytics trackers. Some of these providers may process data outside your country; where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account details, generations and saved prompts: while your account is open.
- When you delete a generation, its prompt and text are erased straight away. We keep its usage details (model, token counts, credits) without the content, for our statistics.
- When you delete your account, we erase your name, email, password and sessions, your saved prompts, and the text of all your generations. Usage details and payment records are kept without any link to you, for statistics and accounting.
- Free-credit network codes: 30 days, even if you delete your account. Server logs: up to 14 days. Backups: up to 30 days, after which deleted data is gone from them too.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, off-server backups are encrypted, and our admin tools show usage numbers, not your prompts or output.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can change your name and delete your account yourself in Settings. For anything else, email [contact email]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version before you keep using meeem.
